Our team is having some issues with work units & the Agent Paused message - today only
----------------------------------------These are machines that have met the requirements & worked fine for several days..mostly on HPF2 Is there an issue for anyone else here with the UD client? [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at May 25, 2007 9:36:27 PM] |

Is that agent paused before or after result return? Are you on an 'All Projects' or a Specific project profile like Genome Comparison? If on a single project and that one runs temporarily dry in supply it will pause! The test in that case would be to temporarily do an all project selection and see if it starts moving again after double clicking the system tray icon.
----------------------------------------Returned a HCMD at about 18:45 CET and got a new one without a hitch.

Hi, Sekerob..
Appears to be before a return, and yes we are focused mostly on that single project. |

Notwithstanding, change selection and see if things move. That will identify if we ran dry on HPF2.
----------------------------------------With BOINC you can choose a primary project and a 'if work is not available for......' backup option, plus it buffers by default +/- 7.2 hours of work so when there is any hitch between a client and the pathway to the server or the servers themselves, it would keep the completed job ready for transmission and continue with the next in queue.

Thanks..I run BOINC.. & my personal preference on these particular machines is the UD client.
----------------------------------------It would appear, from your replies, that HPF2..which is our chosen project - is having an issue. If the case is that we "ran dry"..on HPF2 for UD, then when can we expect to see more wu's? Do they usually release more when there's an issue? This is being reported by not just me but several folk who aren't inclined to change their project selection nor client at this time [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 25, 2007 10:04:04 PM] |
