Re: What are you listening to

The King Harvest version has a bit more simple set-up and to be honest, the Toploader version is the one I know and it has a bit more complex structure, it sounds smoother as a whole and that is why it like the best.

Here's something else that has to grow on you: Zero by Group 1850. Play it once a day for ten days in a row and see if you're getting to know and getting to like it. Seriously. love struck It is a psychedelic song with trumpets and an accordeon. Also listen especially to the mysterious part from 1:45 to 1:55. It sounds like 🚀 a small space rocket, not driven by any earth-like engine we know, landing on another planet (or anything else that you can imagine). You'll discover new things each time you play it.

This one, also by Group 1850, is for stefada. cool

Re: What are you listening to

I had expected that with your well developed sense for music (and neus) - and my simple one.
I look forward to carry out your experiment, adriverhoef
- I kind of expect to ingest LSD through my ears hypnotized
You know this one, I'm sure, but it keeps this on topic wink
It's yodap's favorite and it's cute.

I do.
I have listened several days to ’Zero’ now, adriverhoef, and not only once daily - my mode of operation seems to be putting things on repeat. So far, it has not given me any highs – not that I know what they should be like – but I do find it more and more interesting.
To begin with I noticed
- the tone of voice and the intonation of the vocals which are very much like Procol Harum’s
- the singing dragging juuust that tiny bit behind the music the way Procol Harum does it as well
- at 1:38 there is very elegant vibrating (organ?) almost resembling an air raid siren
- the vibrations (from an organ?) beginning at 1:04 and lasting until the vocals start on ’The Volga Boatmen’ is fascinating as well
That feature reminds me of ’Madame Butterfly’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pYsP1nBBNQ 1:49:50 where a bit of ’Star Spangled Banner’ is infused, and as I remember it, other bits of American music is present in other places.

What I noticed today is that the entire piece melts together for me as some sort of strange cacophony – one that isn’t disharmonic.
I have a feeling that some high is on its way … smile

Re: What are you listening to

Thanks for experimenting with Zero by Group 1850, little mermaid. I find it quite difficult to remember the song myself. Did you sleep well, mevrouw Kleine Zeemeermin?

I'm not done yet, Adri. 10 days you said, 10 days it will be. I do put it on repeat - that's a habit I have.
I find it quite difficult to remember the song myself.
Perhaps you should play it now for refreshing?
Did you sleep well, mevrouw Kleine Zeemeermin?
Thank you very much, I did. Seven hours of uninterrupted sleep makes a world of a difference biggrin Thank you for ensuring I'll have another revigorating night with Sleep Well love struck
Aqua is back in more ways than one wink

Re: What are you listening to

This will be cross posted to Team The Edwardians
I just learned that my city will have a Blues Festival come November.
One of the performers will be the owner of the Chicago joint where Guitarman of Team The Edwardians performed on his whirlwind tour of the USA in 2011.
