I have my BOINC set up to receive work units from all three projects, but I get almost no work from GC project?
----------------------------------------All things being equal I would assume I would get an equal split in work from each project? Currently I am getting: HPF2 - 58% FAAH - 35.5% GC - 6.5%. The last GC work unit I received was 5 days ago. Can anyone tell me why I don't see more GC work units? [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 12, 2007 9:56:39 AM] |

Quite a few people expect that.
But it's not how it works. There are loads of variables. Some people select particular projects, reducing the work available for them. Some projects won't run on all computers, so more powerful computers get all the work from those projects. And then there is the supply of work for a project. Some projects have lots of work, others are nearing the end of their run on the grid. So the WCG scheduler takes all these factors into account and attempts to balance the load. It's a difficult task, and it needs a little adjustment by the techs now and then, so that one project can end neatly just as another is ready to be launched. |

Thank you for the quick reply.
I guess I should just be happy my computer is crunching away and not running into any more serious problems. |
