In the USA, can one write off the energy cost of placing computers on the World Community Grid 24/7?
I'm a tax noobie and have 3 pc's on the Grid now, at 14 cents/kwh for energy costs. It would be nice if I could write it off . . . or more accurately, have my semi-honest but very useful tax preparer write it off :) |

It would be good to see the tax codes modified to account for such donations. After all, they've modified the tax codes many thousands of times to increase profit for business. Methinks the Grid needs lobbyists :) |
