Wow 100,000+ WU's per day returned according to the nice graph above. Impressive.

Frankly, this job has run so smoothly I wish it could go on forever.
----------------------------------------However, all good things must eventually come to an end. My hope is that it will be replaced by yet another job that runs quietly in the background, doesn't hog resources and doesn't crash my computer every other day! I trust we have contributed to the general knowledge base with our work on this project and look forward to another that is equally benificial -- with the above noted caveats. ![]() ![]() "Everything in moderation, including moderation" -- Mark Twain |

Well, the next (probably) project to launch will use AutoDock, which has run fairly smoothly under the FightAIDS@Home project. Obviously, WCG hope it will continue to run smoothly. It does have fairly hefty memory requirements, though (250MB).

Think it's a particular US idiom, but it has been build into the Work Fetch algorithm since quite some time, albeit qualified in different words. Kathryn I think is an English teacher, so she could tell.... Anyway, have used the factor in business planning to add extra extra padding so, once one layer of padding was removed during review, got the plan approved I wanted, so it could be outperformed after removing the second layer, but that's seriously off-topic ![]() Oh I think that is a coach and horses right down the Center to the very Kernel of the Matter, sekerob. It is just AutoDock 4. It is under constant development so the build numbers keep going up, but Scripps does not often bother to increase the version numbers. This gets confusing at times when we talk about the old AutoDock 4 (or 4.0) that we began FAAH with and the new AutoDock 4 that we are modifying to work on the grid for the next phase.Lawrence I know this is not important at all, but will it look the same or different? ![]() |

Hello esoteric17,
As far as I know, FAAH will still look the same. Hopefully we will get some more information soon over in the FightAIDSAtHome forum. Getting this thread back to Genome Comparison. we should soon be sending out the last work units. The completion status measures the percentage of results returned. There are many that have been sent out that have not yet been returned, so we are closer to the end than 91% seems to indicate. The database produced by the Genome Comparison project is not an end in itself. It is simply being created to support a research program that Fiocruz wants to run. The database will continue to be updated as new genomes are added. Whether or not the updates will be run on the World Community Grid is something that I do not know. We shall simply have to wait and see. Lawrence |
