I really doubt that that will happen. However, there are lots of people at IBM who are older than 55 and they will be leaving one of these days anyway. But this is an issue at all companies as the babyboomers in the USA head into the sunset. Age 55 here so I understand. Don't try to find anything decent at that age. Your seen as a potential health risk as lets face it, the machine that is the human body isn't at it's peak in later years. That said outside of crushing 2 disks and 2 vertabrae at aged 20 I haven't had a sick day in my life and can still toss close to 300lbs on a shoulder..I just don't want to anymore! back on topic: The stats looked like they updated early today or is there more than 2 updates a day now? ![]() movieman [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 7, 2007 11:49:02 PM] |

@movieman,
----------------------------------------Plz see the Known Issues forum. An extra stats run was initiated to see if 'the illusive' fail could me forced. Myself still getting an error 500 when looking at older Result Status quorum details. Some indices are still not happy. cheers knreed World Community Grid Tech Posts: 1240 Status: Offline Re: Database Server trouble The 0:00 UTC run that is normally going to start in one hour will be delayed while we investigate a few more things. [May 8, 2007 12:12:30 AM] Re: Database Server trouble We are going to temporarily disable the stats update process until this problem is resolved. We have determined that the problem is being caused while the stats update is underway and it makes the site unstable after that point. Please note that no-one is losing any credit or points while the update is disabled - you just won't be able to see them on the website until the next time we run the update. We expect to resolve this within the next 24 hours. [May 8, 2007 3:24:53 AM] Show Post Printable Version

You know how some people get when they don't get their daily fix of stats. --> Man I see all of those. Thankfully I can steer them to FreeDC's Boinc stats page and tell them to multiply by seven! Hope it all works out and tell Kreed I sent him a email thru the front page contact us section. Movieman [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 8, 2007 9:16:20 AM] |

ATM the global overall shows about 3/4 of the Monday production and individual results on the my grid page. Certain parts like the end of day Global 'Yesterday' and project daily have not updated and still show the Sunday results.
----------------------------------------The agents both WCG and BOINC show actual cumulatives. Latter for the work validated thru the time of the last contact. For multi device crunchers on the Berkeley agent, BOINCview (runs only Windows) is recommended as it includes a view, that shows all devices on a project, the overall and individual device contribution and RAC's (in BOINC points). The frequently mentioned factor 7 allows the simple conversion to WCG equivalent points.

I think that's because there's a problem of some sort. When everything's operational, it will 'remember' you... Me not happy either ![]()

The stats update is running VERY slow. The import process is running at about 100th of its previous speed. This is resulting in the overall stats run taking about 3 times its normal runtime. We are still trying to determine what has caused the dramatic slowdown. Meanwhile, we have also been resolving issues on the website that have appeared due to the long running stats.
However - when the stats are running you will not be auto-logged in as E. Frijters noted. |
