Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

Evening all

Seems we should be grateful for this coldish but dry spell as the forecast for the weekend in London is 'heavy rain'; just right for last minute shopping.

Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

Okay its a Dex

My tv viewing is tec stories
Frost Lynley but best of all Inspector Morse
I have seen all of the Tv Morse over the years read the Books and so on
The thing with the Tv Morse shows is like Hitchcok
Colin Dexter the auther
always does a cameo apperance

the interest is to spot him
the fellow in the Oxford Choir or is it him in the park or the Pub???
I still enjoy the story but love to find Colin Dexter
John Thaw was a great Actor him and his Car the 2.4 Jag
248RPA......
Not quite the Da'viinci code but I like to watch each episode

Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

Some funny idea of mine to reject the flashing lights in the windows
Help stop the Greenhouse warming ect ect
Over the year I collected and dried plants
alliums fir cones poppy heads
they were sprayed with Glitter stuff
( 'spect I have done as much damage to the ozone layer as the electrickery)
going back to when I was a kid Christmas decorations were holly from the hedgerow Paperchains hand made
The christmas tree was bought and each year went back into the garden
About ten years ago I went back to the old family house and our Christmas tree was still at the bottom of the garden
Nearly 30ft tall
when I told the current house owners they were thrilled
I was a little bit pleased as well biggrin

I agree with you, inspector Morse rules. Maybe I'll buy the dvd-box at some time, only it's quite a thing with 17 dvd's. thinking
There is a spinoff as you probably know, with Lewis as inspector.
Too bad though that John Thaw is no longer with us.
I didn't know that about that Colin Dexter, thanks. smile

Might not be Denese, but sure sounds a lot like Snapsian with a slight German accent.

We've talked about Inspector Morse in the past (the UD days) and I agree, he was the best. Cynical, crotchety ole bastid, but played the part well. A shame he passed on. Lewis, by himself, didn't quite hit the mark.
