Ivan, I had a similar problem so I downloaded BBC Alerts (ticker) from Here and it seems to keep it alive and connected...

Owlie usually comes at this time, but you never know  Owlie's probably snoozing about this time so he can stay up the rest of the night!  I know how that Owlie works! Good morning all
---------------------------------------- Like Den, Busy Busy Busy day ahead. Those in UK remember to listen to radio Five around lunch time "Simon Mayo show" or as it will be known from here on in as "The Mrs Snaps show!"  The "pencilled in" date for the TV programme "In Living Memory" is the evening of 4th November on BBC 1. Will confirm this when I get final info. Good morning Chicadee's, chilly start to the day Autumn as set in, love this time of year, the colours of the leaves and the smell of the harvesting are glorious The birds are starting to visit the feeding table more often now a sure sign that winter is on the way

Evening all
It's just beginning to rain, the first for quite a while. I can now say it's useful to dampen the soil a little- didn't think I'd be saying that a few weeks back. Glad things are going well Ted and thanks Scribe for the tip; I shall try that. |
