Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

I think I may have lost my mind and you'll probably agree... I ordered 2 more Quads, 4 GB memory (2 ea) plus a couple PCIE graphics boards... That will bring me up to my goal of a total of 12 computers (6 Quads and 6 Core Duo's) with a total of 32 processors... Now, f I can manage to stay out of the poorhouse I'll have it made in the shade... or something like that... tongue laughing

For the time being I have around twenty of em stacked up in the hall... both sides... I figured since most of them are less than 2 years old, I'd clean them up, purge all my porn off the hard drives and sell em... laughing

Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

Evening all

Just switched over to BOINC so I shall soon see if it makes any difference to the results.

I am having a little glitch that perhaps is normal. As part of my reconstruction project I also switched from an ASDL modem to a router. This seems great but, although it's always on at my end, if the IP drops off - as it does sometimes overnight - I have to reboot to get the connection going again. With the modem the IP seemed just to get the link going again and I would have a message that the connection had been connected.

It's not much of a problem but if the completed unit tries to upload it finds there is no passage and so has to wait. This usually happens overnight of course.
