Surprise, surprise!! Don't get too excited - not up and running myself yet so have commandeered a friend's 'puter. Couldn't resist saying hello to you all. Heard today that my new machine will be delivered on Friday morning - then has to go to 'Technical Man' to see if he can load it with all my data from the 'old' harddrive - fingers crossed.
Hope you are all behaving in my absence  Hope to be back with you all asap.Lol Merle  |

Evening all
No rain today but I can't say it feels like the middle of July. Good news Merle. You shouldn't have any trouble transferring the data from your old hard drive but I hope it goes smoothly. After that you should take note of Ted and think about an external hard drive for future safety. I bought a caddy a couple of years back which means I can take one hard drive out and shove another one in if I feel too pessimistic. I do a full back up once a week having had the experience of a full wipe out of my main drive and luckily I had enough space at that time on my slave to have a mirror image which saved the day. |

---------------------------------------- Up at crack of "Sparrows what not" to clear rooms of Electrickery bits & bobs. including Putor stuff. Carpet fitters did their job then I have been restoring things to working condition. Did a loada of cable tidying including NEW antisurge conections to all appliances. Still not finished but had about enough for the day been at it for over 12 hours . bout ready for a meal.
