Using Symantic Client Security. I am not getting any type of error or firewall blocks. IBM employee. Searched forums high and low for this error. Do not have a proxy set. Have uninstalled and re-installed the agent twice. Have all the projects checked in my profile. Need suggestions.

Re: Unable to Connect to Grid Server

Hi there,

mentioning Symantec in some will call the urge for the wooden stick and hammer..... have a look around on the forum for the particular exact error message or post it here and we'll confirm.

If you update Symantec/NAV to the vary latest including the definition libraries, the bug should go away again. Certain apps like UD.exe, UD_xxxxxx.exe and WCG_xxxxxxxxxx.exe that you should see in the TaskManager need extra permission in cases of firewall software.

U say update to the latest agent , but there has not been to my knowledge any update i.e. we are on version 3.0 2844 for the WCG agent.

cheers

edit: spelling corrected, grammar still oribile blushing
