Changing your Profile to Include Your Team Link

This was my original post
Hi CompuDude
I hope I am not being a nuisance, or appear to be a bit dumb but I would like to modify my profile to include my name and team hot link automatically when I write a post
I see you have done yours to say
CompuDude
MY ONLINE TEAM
How did you acomplish this
I know how to get to my profile info but I cannot figure how to insert the info to appear as yours does
Could you possibly assist please

With thanks

This was CompuDudes Answer

First, go into your forum profile at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/myprofile

You want to "Change My Signature" (link near top).

The biggest "challenge" is figuring out the syntax for the quasi-html codes this board uses for formatting, because the signature page does not have the handy formatting tools that the Reply to Post forms have. So create a post, fully formatted the way you want your signature to look, including the http links and any font color, size, etc. formatting, and then copy and paste it into your signature (exit the post before posting, of course). Or just memorize the tags they use and type it by hand.

My signature file just has my handle, CompuDude, in blue, using the "[" color=blue "]" (brackets in quotes to allow this text to display!) command, and then a link, which is exactly the same as links in a post, and pretty much like standard HTML links except with bracket "[" "]" instead of "<" and ">":

"[" url=http://www.test.com "]" test "[" /url "]"

Make any sense?

Thankyou CompuDude for this enlightening info
I thought it would make life easier for everyone

Regards
