mysterious pause

I leave my compagny's computer work all the night. But this morning, there were no more tasks in the task list. This computer is specialised on FIGHTAIDS@home project. Do you know if there was a problem with the server this night ? I clicked sereval time on the button update, but it's doesn't matter. I had to restart the agent and after this, it get new tasks. Now it is ok, but I don't knwo why during 22 hours it doesn't able to get new tasks.

Does someone has an idea ? May be there is something to do to avoid that will append once again ?

Thanks

Re: mysterious pause

Mysterious glitches that can be overcome with a reboot and similar mysteries are just a normal [irritating] part of computing.

Re: mysterious pause

Hi,

There are number of 'communication' related bugs in BOINC. The latest 5.8.15 is pretty sound, though at least 1 remaining can still be reproduced in the 5.8.16 alpha (have been using that release since a while).

For 3 weeks no new development release has come out for the Windows version, so it seems to be 'The' stable iteration, though not officially promoted....get the WCG version here http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/wcg_boinc_5.8.15_windows_intelx86.exe:
