Device Profiles Link wrong?

When in Simple View and clicking the little square to get to Device Profiles, I always get linked to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewMyMemberPage.do instead of http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/viewDevices.do or http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/viewProfiles.do

However, if I have a browser open already (blank(, it goes to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/viewProfiles.do ...

Now, why doesn't it go to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/device/viewProfiles.do when there isn't a browser open?

Re: Device Profiles Link wrong?

Well spotted. It's the login check interfering. I'll pass this on to the techs. Thanks.

Re: Device Profiles Link wrong?

When i hit the WCG icon at bottom of the SV, it opens up a little menu with 7 options (5.8.16).

WCG
Global Stats
My Grid
Device Profiles
Research
Help
Remove Project

Selecting the Device Profile, when browser open, but not logged into WCG opens the sign-in screen. After signing in, it opens the Device Profile Page.
When browser is not open and selecting device profile it opens the sign in screen and goes straight to the device profile after that. Firefox 2.0.0.3 as default browser.

PS: This is what i saw a few point released ago:

Re: Device Profiles Link wrong?

Have you tried the "remember me" login setting and retrying it my way?

Sek, I duplicated the issue. It's a bug.

Re: Device Profiles Link wrong?

I just realized it's not just with Device Profiles but with all of the links when you don't have a browser open.

Ah, that bit was missing. No i dont use 'remember me' anywhere. I have a password manager, that anyway pertinently is told to never remember https related ID/passwords (see the firefox extension thread in chat room). All the 7 menu options do jump to the right page, browser open or not in my case.

Re: Device Profiles Link wrong?

I cannot reproduce this using either Firefox 2.0 or Internet Explorer 6.0. What version of the BOINC agent are you using, what operating system are you on and what browser version are you on?

Also - are you using auto-login or signing in yourself each time.

thanks,
Kevin

Re: Device Profiles Link wrong?

Okay, this is annoying.

As I said, I reproduced it. But I can't reproduce it again! I've tried everything.

Initial conditions: IE6, BOINC 5.7.5 (must update that!) and I hadn't signed in with IE for months, so it bounced me to the login page.
