OK. I found out that someone is working on the 'Beer-over-internet-Protocol' (BOIP) and it's due to be out sometime right before the linux client for WCG.

I was wondering just what effect the Mac going to Intel processors would have on this. I wonder just what the future of the MAC OS is and if it will evolve sufficiently in its APIs to accommodate the current agent/Rosetta or the Linux version of same.
----------------------------------------Don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting that this be done. I know that is heresy in the MAC way of thinking. When you think about it though, If you are a development organization you want to spend your development $ where you think the biggest stable user base is. That would mean Windows and Linux and perhaps multiprocessing versions of both (Linux, I understand is MP). As to the Linux in 2005, I suspect that they will complete in 2005 but when in 2005? Well probably not the first half ![]() ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by RT at Jul 12, 2005 11:57:08 AM] |
