New /.'er here, have had it crunching since yesterday, all in to the night. Been running for over 12 hours and I'm only 40% done, not a big deal as I'm going out today anyways and I'm just gonna leave it on whilst I'm gone.

Had mine running since yesterday afternoon and now up to about 33%. It's slow going, but it's for a good cause. If I actually HAD a job to goto the computer would have more free time.

Woop! Finished my first task, got 580 points for the team, wife's pc is 36% done with her first task . . . and hers is moving faster than mine, cuz I gave her the 2.5 gig CPU while I tool along on my old AMD 1 gig processor.
Slashdot to save world . . . details at 11. And Happy New Year! |

Over the past two or so days I've gotten over 1000 points although my stats page only says 280. I only have it running on my Athlon64 3200 - although if OSX and a Linux client is released I'd consider putting it on two of my other computers...
Oh and /. users.... stick something in your sig to help keep our momentum. |

I'm thinking about installing it to all the computers at work, which is about 10.. and running them on screensaver only mode. So when someone leaves the computer running while they're not on it (happens often) the computers idle time won't be wasted :)

I'm crunching along on my pitiful Celeron 500...My first two units got done in a total of one day and eight hours...current one has been going for 5.5 hours and is only 2%. Yowch. I gotta say, though, I like this program. I could only run SETI@home as a screensaver 'cause it'd bog down my somewhat unstable machine...This one I leave running all the time, and I haven't even noticed it at all. It's great.

Just got 623 points for a 32 hour crunch fest on the default settings. Just put my disk space up to 10 gigs so now the points should start rolling in. Sucks they give my AMD 1.5 gig 13 less points than a Pentium 1.5, we all know AMD's are better.

The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant compared to the power of /. :)

First unit done in about 5 hours on my 3.06P4-M. it's a laptop so i don't run the grid all the time, as heat is an issue ;)
I just want to say that this is absolutely wondeful to see. The power of /. put to good, instead of pounding some poor guy's server :D |

I'm running at about 11 hours per task and have completed 3 over a period of about 1.5 days-worth of runtime. I have a Pentium M 1.7gHz on my laptop which has been running along solidly -- I love how it doesn't interfere too much with other processes!
