Hey guys. I'm a pretty new user here, joined about 3 days ago, and I'm yet to return anything to the server. =s
----------------------------------------I'm running the UD agent on a Vista Home Premium PC, with no firewalls, virus software or whatever other than what Windows has built in. I've been running the agent almost constantly, and have seen it complete at least 5 separate FIGHTAIDS@HOME projects, but both the website and the agent show 0 points and 0 run time. I have no idea where to start really. I'm 100% sure that the agent is pointing at my account, and the website shows it on the device manager, but neither think I've done anything yet. I'm gonna take a couple of screenshots in a sec for you to take a look at... some of the other threads seemed to request them ^^: EDIT: Couple of screenshots for you. Hi Thebash,
Did you install the UD client in the Program Files directory? According to http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=11824 you need to use a different directory or partition, due to [*##* unspecified) Vista security features. I am not knowledgable about Vista, so I just repeat this advice like a magical incantation.  Lawrence |

I'm at work right now, so I can't check where it's installed, but I'll do so when I get home. I can still poke around on the site though =)
I poked some Windows Firewall settings last night and set up the agent as an exception to all firewall rules, though I wasn't sure it'd help at all. Apparently I successfully returned a result at 11:50 last night, and I've been credited points for it. The results status page is just blank though, so I'm guessing none of my other results made it to the server =s Oh well. At least it seems to be working. I'll check some more and edit it in to this post when I get home. Thanks for the help people! =D |
