"Unable to process Task data" message

What does the "Unable to process Task data. Backing off..." message mean?

I was running the UD all day yesterday with no problems. I booted up my computer (Vista 64bit Ultimate) this morning to find that WCG could not do anything because of this message.

Re: "Unable to process Task data" message

I uninstalled and reinstalled the agent, and everything seems to be ok now. I'll report back if I see this problem again.

Re: "Unable to process Task data" message

A proven path to be able to run UD agent uninterruptedly on vista is not to install it in the program files directory structure e.g. on a different partition.

I would be advising to install BOINC, but that i'd only do if u want & can make use of a dual core cpu environment to it's fullest.

Re: "Unable to process Task data" message

So it seems like whenever I reboot my machine, I get the "Uable to process Task data" message again. This persists until I reboot. Can someone please look at this?

I can't run BOINC because HCMD doesn't run on that right now.

Re: "Unable to process Task data" message

I gave full access rights to c:\program files\worldcommunitygrid directory.
After I restarted WCG, it worked fine for me.

Re: "Unable to process Task data" message

I also gave full access Admin Rights to C:\Program Files\World Community Grid with no help in my case.

Was running well since I downloaded it three days ago; then I rebooted Vista Home Premium in the middle (30%) of a Human Protenome Folding work unit and I get the "Unable to process task data" message. It starts to download a new work unit then quits.

Uninstalled/reinstalled the program and it works well until I reboot.

Vista settings? Security settings? I think Grid software is not ready for Vista/IE 7 and/or Norton Internet Security 2007

Not going to ask if the quoted avenue was walked as a solution thinking
