It's taking much longer than time was allotted for. Have updated the situation and reflected it in the maintenance 'times' link (see my signature below). A number of update posts were made in the member news like this one but have not translated to the result allowing the return, amongst certain interferences were happening during stats compilations which for 06:00 UTC would be middle of the night when no-one is there to kick the system along and cause much to hang up.

Lots of progress is made which resulted in removal of the service interruption for several hours each Wednesday, plus the Sunday maintenance run now being much faster than before. Patience thus will have it's reward.
