limit cpu count?

I have a linux box w/ 2 cores only but as it's running hyperthreaded, I'd like to limit the amount of cpu processing to 2.

can this be done?

Yes.

Simply edit your profile. You will find the default BOINC profile under My Grid->Device Manager.
