Is clear, abort transfer in the transfers tab? Do you risk losing anything doing that?

Yes, I aborted everything in the transfer tab. Hitting retry did nothing. In my case, it just affected WU's being downloaded.

I started getting the upload locked message at 20:44 UTC an hour ago. It means that there is something wrong on theserver.

Another piece of info. I have 2 files to upload for each 1 completed. I don't know if that is normal.
Also, It gives me a nasty warning... aborting a task will invalidate the task and you will not receive credit for it. I think I might wait on that. |

The alert that pops up hitting Abort is pretty direct! Download, no worries, Upload, loss of perfectly sound result files.
----------------------------------------Please who ever reads this, ad interim, if you have enough work, go to the activity menu and select Suspend Networking to stop the retries until the all clear is given by other members succeeding to upload or the technical staff. Have refreshed the Alert in the back room.

Hey what happened I'm way down this thread
---------------------------------------- I've got a bunch of FAAH's that don't want to go home (All on 5.8.8) just for the record They all uplaod 0.44K and then abandon You seem to have it all under control Sek Lawrence and Knreed I'm off to bed btw the FAAH upload generates a couple of files other projects GZIP the files created by a WU into one file so you normally don't see them. At the moment FAAH isn't doing this. I'll leave you in V capable hands Dave ![]() |

Please who ever reads this, ad interim, if you have enough work, go to the activity menu and select Suspend Networking to stop the retries until the all clear is given by other members succeeding to upload or the technical staff. If the technical staff knows the cause of this error and/or has a solution to prevent it, please post it here. This error happens pretty often (for me at Proteins@Home and QMC) and obviously no one has a solution for this or even knows what the error message means. If it's a server side issue we could inform other project admins. |

I've been getting the same error message for faah for over 5 hours now. All my work is faah right now. Is it better to stop network activity, or let it keep trying?
