Leaving in Memory

My WU seems not to be leaving it in memory when I switch off the machine and restart it. Using latest Boinc 5.8.8, had to restart machine and when Boinc started WU reset to zero. Profile says keep in memory, so what is causing problem.

Re: Leaving in Memory

Are u putting your computer in standby or hibernation mode or really shutting down? In latter case the power is switched off from memory and on restart the work will resume at the last checkpoint saved to disk. When no checkpoint, restart will be at 0%.

Re: Leaving in Memory

There needs to be more checkpoints in FAAH, I got 40.1% and the line was still red so now I know is if there is a green line I can switch off.

Re: Leaving in Memory

Other way around... red line, no green line means that a checkpoint was made at 40% +/-. The green line is a progress indicator for the current segment of a FA@H job.
