HI,
I've got the same issue with my G4.
It's a G4 400@1.5Ghz with 1.5Giga of Ram and using Mac OS 10.4.8
Boinc manager is 5.8.11
Theses issues start from the beginning. Sometimes I've got a full valid result, but most of the time, no.

On 7 results sent from my mac, only 2 of them are valid.
My PC sent 8 resluts, 2 is waiting for it's validation, 5 are good and one is invalid.

Here under find what the text file tells me when I click on "invalid" :

hmmmm this is a loop. Did you see the answer in the other thread u started?

This is likely due to using the Throttle. There is a race condition in the BOINC code that can cause a number of errors to occur if you are using the Throttle. We are working with BOINC now to resolve the problem. The problem is most pronounced on Mac and Linux platforms. At this time we do not recommend using the throttle on Mac or Linux until this issue is resolved.


Try the latest recommended version 5.8.15 for MAC: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_5.4.9_macOSX_universal.zip

Some more fixes were applied in 5.8.16, so you might in fact want to go to the development version. http://boinc.berkeley.edu/dl/boinc_5.8.16_macOSX_universal.zip

What is the throttle ?
I've upgraded to 5.8.15

It's the gas pedal for BOINC. U need to go to your device profile and change the below to 100% until it's confirmed that the setting works proper for MAC (and Linux).

Use no more than: 100 % of processor time

Don't forget to go to the Project Tab, select WCG and than hit Update in the BOINC agent for it to copy to your computer.

May be I change my settings too late.

It's définitevly not that.
I've reduce the throttle to 90% but results are invalid again.
Also, what is the meaning of having some pref through the web site and other directly through the agent ?
