Re: problems with downloads

Hello pcr,
Yes, Sunday is a traditional server maintenance day on the schedule. There was a recent 3-hour outage that produced a lot of messages on my BOINC installation. I finally downloaded successfully an hour ago.

I am bothered by your 'still' since the last I heard from you was a problem on your Fujitsu laptop with screensavers and hibernation a month ago. Is this a normal problem that keeps recurring or did it just happen today?

If it continues to happen, could you tell me which version of BOINC you are running? I just upgraded to 5.8.8 for Windows ( http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php ).

Lawrence

Re: problems with downloads

My system has been working well since then. It only aborted one type of work unit when it went to screensaver. What I meant was that I am still having problems downloading any work other than faah work units after it was reported that the website was back up. For instance, when I started up my computer at 9amCST this fine Monday morning I got these messages:

Re: problems with downloads

Hi pcr,
Have you tried BOINC Manager - Project tab - Reset Project, Tasks Tab - Abort and Transfers Tab - Abort Transfer?
