Win Boinc Agent Installed

Hi Lawrence,

Just to let you know, I have installed the Win Boinc agent on all of my XP machines and everything is working very well.

Whatever the problem was seems to be corrected by moving from the UD agent to the Boinc agent.

All my XP PC's are now running 7x24 without interruption.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Dave

Re: Win Boinc Agent Installed

Great to hear of another soul having made the cross over to BOINC.

Also because of it's encryption and the fact that the UD agent creates a DLL during start up, it's felt that UD agent is more susceptible to particulars of security software (Firewall/Antispam/Antivir/DEP etc). Regrettable, lacking any material error reporting by that agent, it's hard to pinpoint..... trial and error and lots or reading of older posts often leads to resolution, more than not by accident, without an exact diagnosis and cure.
