I've been sticked again at 100% yesterday.
Otax and me use UD Agent + Development version Boinc Manager 5.8.0 |

Hello Heyoka,
Rick Alther will want to look at your problem when he gets back from vacation. Information that he will want: Device ID (listed in the Preferences View of the UD client) When the work unit was running. (These 2 pieces of information let him identify the work unit.) State of all 3 UD processes (as shown by Task Manager - which one is running at what percentage.) Anything peculiar that you notice. Description of your system - memory size, VM size, OS system, firewall, anti-virus and other security programs, major processes running at the same time, processor type and speed, even how much Virtual Memory was committed at the time. When you have assembled all that information, use Task Manager to kill the HCMD application. Then reboot in case something got written outside of memory bounds. Lawrence |

wcgridHCMD.exe (50% of the CPU) and UD.exe was running. After I have crunch 3 another wu's and I haven't more see the same problem. The wu's were returned without any problem. (Boinc and Ud Agent crunch together on my computer) This doesn't appear to be the same "stuck at 100%" problem that HPF2 encountered. With HPF2, the UD process was taking all the CPU when it got "stuck". Here it's the actual science application that's taking up the CPU.

----------------------------------------My System : Pentium 4, 3.4 GHz , 512 Mo de Ram Windows XP VM size : 768 Mo Anti-virus : Avast Antivirus Windows firewall major processes running all the time : emule and Weatherlink => the 2 programs take the upload boinc.exe, boincmgr.exe (Boinc 5.8.0) I haven't seen more the problem But a another Member of l'Alliance Francophone has been sticked at 0%. The wu could not start, he wait 10 minutes, quit the UD Agent, restart UD Agent, wait 30 minutes, the wu not start and he finally kill the HCMD application [Edit 5 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 1, 2007 7:45:48 PM] |

And this is my configuration (and waiting for more info on Taskmanager when UD sticks) :
Device ID : 497 894 Agent Version : 3.0 (2844) My System : AMD64X2, 2@2.5 GHz , RAM 1Go Windows XP SP2 VM size : 1344 Mo Anti-virus : Avast Antivirus Windows firewall major processes running all the time : Yahoo widget Engine boinc.exe, boincmgr.exe (Boinc 5.8.0) For the moment WCG UD is stopped. I should restart it in a few days. Some urgent Boinc Crunch to do before on Malaria  |

Thank you so much boulmontii. Sorry I didn't answer sooner but I wanted to see if I could do it first. I tried it several times before I finally got my head on straight, but I finally succeeded. You have been a great help to me. Thank you again!

The ver. 1.0.1.2 fix the bug ? What is new with this version ? |
