Re: Yesterday most CPU time in past year

Thanks Sekerob. I understand what your saying but surely if the results only go on when validated it would be impossible to have 3 days worth of points being added and no results. 300zxtt got 13,000 points where he normally averages 3,000 and was allocated approx 340 hours work where he would normally have about 40.

The complete lack of results peak at the same time indicates he has been awarded points and run time for doing nothing. confused

Re: Yesterday most CPU time in past year

Okay, so sleuthed a bit in the public domain:

WCG: 300zxtt
BOiNCStats: Ken aka 300zxtt
BOiNC WCG: 300zxtt

Maybe look the guy deep in his eyes and ask him if he was running a super long UD agent job...they can on wallclock go for up to 504 hours before timing out.....1 job, many hours, many points.

Or, as he had a gap in his BOiNC scores from Nov15 to 22 or so, were there many jobs that had an invalid? Sometimes knreed goes in and makes a manual adjustment.... had it once. He disabled the 'invalids' deduction on HDC when there was that odd problem last week. If the device ID / Computer name can be identified that was credited, send a Contact_US message to WCG and it can be checked out.

Re: Yesterday most CPU time in past year

Thanks again Sekerob, I think you may have nailed it at last. The image below shows the user's stats from Free-DC and there is a clear 'down' time during the period you mention.

That's what I like about WCG compared to certain other projects. We are allowed to question things about the project without being slagged for 'downing' the project.
