Sorry to quote myself, but I need to add a point...
----------------------------------------So let's say you participate in 1 other BOINC project, and within WCG, you participate in two sub-projects...and you want an equal share between the three. You should give WCG a resource share of 2, and the other project a resource share of 1 (use any multiple to get the same results). But you still have *no* control WRT allocating resources between the two WCG projects (in this example). So while you assign 2/3 of your resources to WCG, WCG decides the amount of work you do for each of the two WCG projects...and that stinks IMO.   |
