Hello,
Is it possible for the World Community Grid Agent to be active on a laptop even when using battery? Mine is pausing to conserve power... Is it possible to be over 60% CPU? Thanks. |

----------------------------------------Opposed to UD/WCG agent, u can tell BOiNC to continue when on battery, but it will drain it real fast.... plus some laptops will throttle the CPU itself when on battery.....everything will go slower. As for the speed, there is a little throttle tool to make UD run as fast or slow as u want. The minimum is 25%. When you installed BOINC, please don't forget to modify your BOINC profile. Go here and modify the BOINC profile you choose (probably Default).
