gentoo help form user with CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu"

the latest version is from portage

the error message is thage the chost environment is not reconized

try this :
emerge unmerge boinc

then after that try :

CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" emerge boinc

the compilation is done with this chost and for me that solve my issue

This way give you a i686 client but 32bit, you aren't using 100% of your processor capabilities and power

right but x86_64 seem not supported by worldcommunitygrid ...

We are currently supporting 5 builds (Windows UD, Windows BOINC, Linux, Mac, Mac x86) per project, yet about 85% of our results come from 32-bit Windows x86 UD. When we ration out programming support, it seems to make sense to add more projects rather than more platforms to run each project on. 64-bit is nice, but right now it makes sense to wait for greater market penetration.
