ARP1... _0 absent

Are there a bunch of ARP tasks generated incorrectly? Or do I have a computer issue. This is a new computer with a 7950X CPU.

This is just one work unit, not a batch. I believe the suffices of the output files relate to the 8 checkpoints that the units work through.

If this happens on another work unit, please repost.

Normally, when an ARP1-task finishes, 7 outputfiles are produced. They are sequentially numbered with suffices _0 to _6. (We saw you posting about suffices _0 to _5 here.)

So, your task ARP1_0012282_136_0 finished and should generate 7 outputfiles; this didn't work out quite well, as your Event Log is showing. Maybe more information can be found in the Error Log (to be found on the website). Try to find the task there (see your Results page). You would do us a favour if you post the URL of the workunit.

BTW: 15 ARP1s ended in error. 2 in same time period, same machine finished without error (waiting validation).

It is likely that Avast has spotted a code fragment that is identical to a code fragment in some suspicious software. It would be good to inform Avast of the false positive. But to avoid this problem, it may be worth excluding all the BOINC folders from virus scans.
