Researchers Publish Findings on Potential New Treatments for Leishmaniasis

The Drug Search for Leishmaniasis team has created an online database to make their data easily available to other scientists and to the general public. You can read their announcement and learn how to use their database in this article.

Great going. It's always nice to see a project come to its conclusion, and publish results. Just wondering if any of the top compounds were screened by WCG to assure they weren't compounds that also bind to "everything else in the world" -- sorry -- forgot the name for that class of compounds. Never mind -- the abstract states "... potent selective inhibitors of Leishmania panamensis were identified." (My emphasis added).
