Welcome to wcg.
Not going to apologize for the bust berkeley committed on wcg with the 7.4.xx version of agents which is presumed to be what you have. The wcg supported 7.2.42 found in the download page , top right link, does not have the issue. Uninstall boinc 7.4. and pick the endorsed version, security audited at that. Alternate, if you open a command terminal on your mac, you can run this command $ boinccmd --project_attach www.worldcommunitygrid.org account_key where the account_key bit has to be replaced by the account code you can find on wcg's settings > my profile, somewhere towards the lower third of the page. Don't know if you first need to navigate to the boinc software or data folder before executing the command or if a sudo prefix is needed to get permission to execute the boinccmd command on osx. Do let us know how you succeed in order to document for future mac users with the same issue. Cheers, |

Hi erwinmaes and welcome to the Grid and to the board
----------------------------------------![]() If you will not succeed with above mentioned workarounds/recommendations (btw, the path you need to go to to be able to execute the command in terminal is YourComputer/Library/Application Support/Boinc Data), you might want to try the solution which works for me. I am running BOINC version 7.4.23 which I installed already on Mavericks (all other versions newer than 7.0.65 failed on 10.9. OS X) and it is working fine also on Yosemite (both 10.10. and 10.10.1). You can download it from here (the one you want to install has to contain "macOSX_i686" in its name) or from the direct download link here Cheers and ![]() ![]() Crunching@Home since January 13 2000. I downgraded to 7.2.42 and I added WCGrid to my BOINC manager! It's up and running on all Macs now!! (20 processors total :-) )

I managed to connect using GridRepublic. It complains about that error message but it allowed me to start downloading data.
