On a personal note, I shall be away for a few days - we're off to Blackpool with the children. The weather looks like it should be OK so we should have a good time on the Pleasure Beach devilish I stuck 20 slots onto my offline machines so there should be no wasted cycles biggrin TTFN

I suspect that siscm's Computer Labs are undergoing some sort of maintenance. From the significant overnight drop, I suspect that this is most likely related to Network or Power rather than Software/Hardware?

I'm sure he'll be back up to full power again soon!

Have fun in Blackpool. Are you going to go on The Big One?

Re: cool cool CRUNCHERS INC. A new name for a fast-moving team! cool cool

positive for today: I've managed to get in contact with school throwing out some old (3-4 years) rigs... farm might be expanding... biggrin getting the spec list tomorrow then I can pick whch ones I want and pick them up, friday night hopefully, then work on them over the weekend and have them all up by monday (wednesday at latest)

...following this....

they replyed with a spec list of 40 computers that I can have...

...planning to pick them up on monday through wednesday...

adds another (potential approximate) 30GHz of AMD goodness to my crunching... at a cost of £40 a month in electiricty (paid for by EMA)

biggrin

Hey Comp, where are you going to build the power plant to run all those rigs? biggrin Or maybe attach 7 or 8 power strips to an extension cord as thick as a light pole?
Good goin', man. good luck
