I have a system running with 24 logical CPUs. (Dual Processor, Hex-Core)---------------------------------------- It is always use only 16 tasks in any way. My device profile is Max Output already and running BOINC client v6.6.38. How can I use all logical CPUs for WCG computing? (The system is dedicated for WCG only) Thanks [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 2, 2009 5:01:49 PM]

Plz visit the website device profile. There are 2 values, a percent of processors allowed usage and a hard number. The default used to be 16. Just up it to 24.---------------------------------------- edit: Of course, to have it take immediate effect, hit Update in the Projects tab of BOINC Manager. Does the client log show u using overrides? If so, you need to amend local prefs or clear them.

To Sekerob...Thanks a lot, it is now fully loaded. To Steve WCG...It is still a prototype system. I can not tell too much. There are dual Westmere 2.4GHz (95W) on board. BTW, I am expecting PowerPC support someday thus my System p can join the work.

Thanks for what you can give (darn NDA), sounds like the most efficient cruncher in existence (excluding initial cost of couse) Some WCG projects do support PPC http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=minimumreq#251
