Download count in Phoca Download Plugin

I'd like to show a "download now" button in the middle of an article and I'm trying to use Phoca Download because I would like to keep the stats of downloads. But I would like to show a counter under the button, in my article. Something like: "already downloaded XXX times". Is this something possible? And how? Changing the options in Phoca Download doesn't affect the plugin.

Hi, for now, there is no such option in plugin, so this needs to be customized directly in the plugin.

I have a simple need. I want an analytics tool that can record the number of clicks on links to documents (pdf, doc, mp4, etc...) on my website. I set up my link list and add it to the tool, which then compiles the clicks and generates a report or list. I've been recommended Phoca dowload version 4.0.9. Can this application do this? if so, is there a tutorial?

Phoca Download component stores information about downloaded items. When someone clicks on download, such event is stored.
