Masonry Effect Images overlap

Hoping someone can help me.
I have set Category images to Masonry effect, and I have enambled different image height, but my images that are portraits are overlapping the other images. How do I rectify this? The box around the image also doesnt adapt to the larger size.

try to set: backend --> Componets --> Phoca Gallery --> Control Panel --> Options --> General Settings --> Equal Heights=No
