categories mosaic (again)

Hello!

i've followed all the steps reported here:

And I think i've done all ok, because the images are correctly displayed in category view with thumbnails of different size.

however I can't see images as mosaic in categories view.
this is a shot.
any idea? [image removed by author]

I controlled permissions for thumb are 755, and generally categories and images are all published and authorized.
I set medium and small 200x200 and 80x80 respectively
pagination thumb yes
enable yes
no crop
additional thumbs for medium and small

in categories using medium images, mosaic enabled, display stile none.

I don't know WHY....


but AFTER settled up the parameter, I deleted All the images from the galleries, and all the files from the server, and I truncated the database.

Once reloaded all the files and loaded on categories, the effect worked.

Solved for me, but don't know how...

Hello!

first of all I think I've understood: maybe the problem was I've uploaded images via ftp and not with phoca administration multiple add tools, once i've used phoca tools (removing also the dirs) all went well.

one more problem: I'm using the small images to make the categories view now. The image are randomly selected. sometimes happens the disposition of images in the box are not good, and happens somethng like images bo beyond the box limit

you can see one of the images goes below respect the box, also hiding the category name
can you suggest how to avoid? also I'd prefer to select which images are showed. I understand there is the "special" criteria, but the question then is: how to select the images to be shown as special?

Hi, this seems like the thumbnails have different size, did you use "crop" function while thumbnail creating.

Try to enable "crop" function if disabled in Options
and try to recreate the thumbnails again

Ok, this definitively solves the problem.

However I set the parameter crop on NONE because of the steps reported in the guide linked at the first post of this discussion.

So maybe it should be corrected.

could you please comment on this?

Hi, there is no possible to select the images directly, they are selected by ordering set in options.
