CSS Sytling issue following upgrade from Joomla 2.5 to 3.4

Hi all, i have just migrated my site from J2.5 to J3.4, alls well in most respects. I re-installed phocadownload and migrated files without a problem. However, i seem to be a bit stumped by some strange CSS Styling on the upload form.

In J2.5 there is a 'Search' and 'Reset' button next to the text entry box:


However in J3.4 as you can see below, the text is missing from the buttons and they are misaligned....any suggestions?
