Changing "Uploaded by" person

I really like having the "Uploaded by" feature displayed on images, but sometimes the administrator needs to be able to change the name of the user who uploaded the image. Is there a way for the admin to do this?
To give one example, a folder displays some images uploaded by Frank. Then someone uploads images to the same folder from Picasa. All existing photos disappear - they are not deleted, but when they are re-inserted to the gallery, the "uploaded-by" name has been lost, and needs to be re-inserted.
Is there any way to do this? Thanks.

Hi, for now not, such needs to be done e.g. directly in phpMyAdmin. I have added it to feature request list. I will try to implement it for some of the next version.
