Multi-language site

Hello,

I have a problem with my multi-language site. To translate the description of files, I have to create a new phoca file for each language (because of the categories translated too). This is a bit annoying because the site is growing and with my 3 languages, I have 3 times the same files. Then the second issue is, due to this problem, statistic are down for each of them so I have to make the addition to get the real download stat.

I think it would be simpler to be able to give a translation directly inside the creation window to keep one file with different translations.

Hi, multi-language feature is a feature of Joomla! so this is more a Joomla! question than Joomla!. If the Joomla! core multi-lnaguage feature does not fit your needs, try to check e.g. Joom!fish extension.

Thank you for the answer. I know that I can use joom!fish. But I would have prefer to avoid to install it because for all other components it is fine. I have a shop component that save multiple language descriptions in its database to avoid creating same product for each language and it is a very convenient system.
