Email to admin by Download, fails

hi,
i´m actually running / creating a new site using joomla 1.5.23 with the phoca download component v 1.3.9...
my problem is, that i don´t get an email, when a registered user downloads a file...the option in the preferences menu is set correctly..
i have another website, running joomla 1.5.23 with the download component v 1.3.7, curiously it works without problems.
maybe you can help me..

ohhhh, now i got it!
in the own menu-parameters i can change it too, I only changed it in the own component-settings (as global configuration...)
now it runs!
