section ordering

using PD 1.3.8. I am trying to reorder the sections in the backend but i see no checkboxes in front of each section and when i use the green up/down arrows nothing happens. When i try to change the order number and use the save-button i get the next error :

You cannot change the order of items, as an item in the list is `Checked Out`

As far as i can see no item is checked out.

How can i solve this ?

took care of it myself. Decided to reinstall the Joomla corefiles (after testing PD 1.3.8 on another site) and that solved the problem
