Not a valid image

Need help please. Get NOT A VALID IMAGE

Running Phoca 2.7.7
Joomla 1.5

I can FTP images up no problem and bring them into Phoca
It is NOT a permissions issue. We tried adding everyone full control and even network service full control just to troubleshoot
It is NOT a size issue...tried 10kb files, tried 2MB files, same result
PHP settings are correct and allow 5MB uploads
This issue ONLY happens when using the upload via Joomla.

I have been working on this for 1 week. Scoured all forums, tried every suggestion. No luck. I really love your product and I do NOT want to change, but I am running out of options as the site went live and community members cant upload to the galleries.

We are running on a Windows 2003 Host. PHP 5.2.9-2

hi, do you mean the frontend upload feature? in category view, in ucp? which version of Phoca Gallery you are using?

What you mean exactly with "upload via Joomla!"?

I actually was able to load 22 galleries with several hundred photos before I had a problem. I had been creating the category, then the subcategory, then going to Images and selecting Multiple. I would create a folder and upload the photos there one by one. When complete I would select all, use the drop down box to select the subcatagory name and press SAVE.

On the 23rd gallery, it started to upload and then presented the message everyone here seems to have experienced: ERROR: photo format not supported.

Since then I can't load any photos. Now every time, the photos load to the folder OK, but when I try to then create the gallery by save all the selected photos to the subcategory, there is no creation of the thumbs and if I then go to the front end all that appears is white boxes.

Has anyone figured out the problem here?

Hmmm, no idea there, try to check all the possible problems which can happen:

- if the image is not corrupted
- GD library
- memory limit
- if there is place on server
- permissions, ownership, etc.

Hi!

I've got the same problem.
I try to upload several images through PHOCA INTERFACE --> ADD MULTIPLE IMAGES with even with JAVA interface and sometimes I got "NOT A VALID IMAGE" and sometimes the image is uploaded.
The images are OK.

Solutions please!

Hello People that had the same problem and Jan,

I have the same problem and cannot find the solution in this subject. I tried to change the settings and the problem keeps coming back. I us Joomla 1.5.23 and Phoca 2.8.0.

Hello everyone,
I also have the same problem.
Ok on the server design, while the production server every time I load one or more images (standard or java) I have this problem.
I tried with 10k images and images of 2MB but the result does not change
With other component loading images without problems
