Vertical images cropped

Hello to all. I'm new to this forum and I have a big problem with displaying images

On my site, I uploaded the photos via phocagallery horizontal and vertical dimensions 800x600 and 600x800, the horizontal me perfectly displays, the vertical ones instead, I cut the top and bottom and I create a thumbail to 900x700.
I disabled the crop of any thumbail but I can not understand why I cut the image and automatically enlarges me.

I would know someone help?

Hi,
just set the large thumbnails to 800x800px and don't crop them. Delete the wrong sized thumbs and create them with the nwe settings once more.
