Cannot Upload

Post by Barrie »

Hi Guys,
Just migrated content from Joomla 1.5 to a clean install of 3.1. Did this via SU Upgrade. Content OK but failed to migrate Phocagallery (along with many other extensions). I decided to do a new install (4.0.2) but get a message saying "There was an error uploading this file to the server". I am able to upload and install (and uninstall) the zip for Joomla 2.5 (which gives me blank pages) .

Any ideas?

Hi, you need to install only Joomla! 3 file, which means 4.0.2 (so no file for 2.5)

Not sure what did the upgrade component but try to remove the Phoca Gallery completely from system and try to install it as new. Remove it manually, to be sure, nothing was left there, see: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/16-joomla ... m-manually

Hi Jan,
The new database tables have no reference to any Phocagallery content - but the upgrade component (SP Upgrade) brought across all the media files from the old 1.5 database. So I have an images/phocagallery folder. However, the new database contains tables from the 1.5 version prefixed jos_ (assumed there only for migration purposes) and tables for the new 3.1 version with prefixes are sprint_.

Can this be causing the problem?

Using install manager with the 4.0.2 zip file I get the error message as explained "There was an error uploading this file to the server".

Hi, yes, different prefix is a problem, the tables must have the same prefix, so you need to change them all.
