Error with Phocagallery 4.0.2 when import from Picasa

Hi there,

I'm using Joomla 3.1.5 together with Phoca Gallery 4.0.2

When I edit the category to set the Picasa-settings:
Set Picasa (Google+) User: xxxxxxx
Set Picasa (Google+) Album: xxxxxx (Picasa album name)
Authentication Key: xxxxxxxxx

after I save and try to import from Picasa but I only get the message: "Error
Save failed with the following error: Picasa Album not found. Check the Album field."

Where is my fault?

This "error" applies to the 3.x version and its actually not an error. In my opinion the problem is that google has made all the new albums are of the form https://plus.google.com/photos/99999999 ... xxxxxxxxxx and
https://plus.google.com must be the change that cannot find the album.
Plz admin till you fix for a new version could you plz tell me which is the file responsible for this so i can change it maually? I need it asap...

Well the problem was that when i went from google to -> photos it wanted me to upgrade to google plus without any other options. The sollution was to access directly https://picasaweb.google.com/?noredirect=1 . However i suggest to the creator of this amazing component to update nexxt version so as to use the recent regex of google plus.

Hi, testing now and get no problem,

I can normally use the images from Google Plus:

https://plus.google.com/photos/ number of user /albums/ number of album

and the images are imported

Hi, if you are using authentication key, such is different for google plus and for picasa, so in this case you need to see it in picasa (just navigate to picasa).


Go to: picasaweb.google.com (when you are logged in to your google account) - now you will be redirected to your Google plus album page and on the front you get the link to go back to your Picasa albums - click on that link.

Now navigate to your album, you will see that the user and album is the same (use the string name as album name) but there is other authentication key, just copy it and add to your settings.

For now, it seems there is no other way for albums with authentication key.
