Phoca Download - Preview Button Help

I have a website that is running PhocaDownload 2.1.8 on Joomla! 2.5. I have upgraded phocaDownload from a previous version that had everything working.

Now after testing the pages after the upgrade, the preview button for each file is not working. It gives error of file (object) not found.

The download button is okay, it can find and begin download no problem. Was the directory changed for the preview files? I see that its: /phocadownloadpap/directory/directory/file.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, see similar posts, in newest versions, there two folders, one for donwload, second for preview (to differentiate the files e.g. because of security reasons) so all the preview and play files should be moved to phocadownloadpap folder and set the right path in administration -> edit files.

Is there any way I could still use the old folder? Can I just use 1 folder for download and preview? How do others manage? Upload to both directories at time of upload?

Hi, unfortunatelly no, this needs to be then customized. The problem of opensource is, you need to take only one option and because of needs to have different rights for download and preview folder (as preview cannot be used behind public_html) there are two folders
