How many images can store in phoca gallery

Hello,

how many pictures can store in phoca gallery?
Decrease the access speed in the gallery with an increasing numbers of pictures?
Is there someone who already has experience with large number of pictures in the phoca gallery?
Can I see examples with big gallerys someehere?

Why I ask these things?
We have a joomla 1.5 website bridged with coppermine gallery.
The website exists since 2003 an we have over the years store ~400000 images. (actually the archive goes back to 2008, the other images still need to be stored)
Every weekend we add 200 - 300 new pictures and now videos also.
At this time there is no bridge for joomla 2.5 and coppermine so we have take a look for another gallery.

Is in this board the one thread, one question rule? I have many questions more

- unlimited, depends on server's limits

Decrease the access speed in the gallery with an increasing numbers of pictures?

- in fact, pagination is used, so allways only e.g. 20 images are loaded per page (this means, if thumbnails creation process is disabled, the speed's decreasing is not fast - depends on database volume

Is there someone who already has experience with large number of pictures in the phoca gallery?

- in this forum, there were some users with 5000 - 10000 images

Can I see examples with big gallerys someehere?

- try to search such posts in this forum, maybe there will be some link to live site

Really no experiences with e.g. 400000 images, as I wrote, pagination is used so allways you get outcome with pagination - so e.g. only 20 images per page are loaded from database. However, this is not same for categories, as because of building category tree, pagination of categories is not used while loading categories from database.
