How do I embed a download onto a page?

Hello,

I want to be able to embed some files that i have uploaded using Phoca onto a private user page. Can I do this?

I don't want to have everyone be able to download the file, only certain people. I don't want to publish Phoca publicly. Or is there a way to control who can see what files? Basically I want only some students to be able to download certain files and others are not allowed.

I uploaded 3 test items, got the ID numbers and I tried to use this code, but it doesn't work. I've even downloaded the Phoca Download button to use that to insert, but nothing shows up >> http://linux6.hypmedia.com/luckycat/about-us

Nothing shows up on the page though when I put this code in. Is there something else I need to do to activate it?

Yes, that was it. For some reason on the page I got the codes from it didn't mention that you needed the content plugin. Marvelous. I will begin to test this now to see if it meets my needs. Thanks!
